My name is Sadie & I’m a new blogger. I named my blog “Curiouser & Curiouser” after Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland;” I always loved the imagination Alice had, and I wanted my blog to be just as imaginative.
My blog mainly features YA book reviews, but I also write about helpful life hacks, geeky topics, & anything having to do with fandoms.
I enjoy photography, singing Disney/Broadway, writing, & spending time with my family. An interesting fact about me is that I can imitate the singing voices of nine Disney characters!
I hope you enjoy reading my answers to Louise’s creative questions.
What fictional place would you most like to go?
~Hands down, Middle-Earth. I would want to take a journey with Gandalf and visit all the different cultures and peoples that live there…and buy myself a Hobbit hole.
What would be the most amazing adventure to go on?
~For me, it would be New Zealand. I would love to travel all around the two islands and see the places where Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit were filmed. It’s a beautiful place to visit.
What’s your favourite drink?
~Butterbeer. Frozen Butterbeer from Universal. If I could have them ship Butterbeer to me, I would definitely do that.
What is something that is considered a luxury, but you don’t think you could live without?
~Hmm…that’s hard. Probably books. They aren’t necessarily a luxury, but I couldn’t live without them. A life without reading would just be boring.
How do you relax after a hard day of work?
~I watch Food Network. Somehow, watching Food Network makes me feel like I could actually cook.
What is the most heartwarming thing you’ve ever seen?
~This isn’t the “most heartwarming” thing I’ve ever seen, but the image of it certainly sticks with me. When my brother was younger, he was trying to teach my great-grandmother (who will be 99 this year!) how to play a video game. She kept messing up, and he would tell her over and over again that she was doing an amazing job and just being really encouraging. In the end, she learned how to play, and that day ended with both of them playing together. It was so sweet.
What is one of your favourite smells?
~My favourite smell is what the old library in town smells like. They have books there from the 1800s, and old books have such a unique smell. It’s comforting.
Who is your most interesting friend?
~Emma. She has eleven siblings, yet still makes time to do the things she loves, help her family, & spend time with her siblings. She’s amazing!
What’s the best and worst piece of advice you’ve ever received?
~The worst: To fly under the radar and never raise people’s expectations. To this day, I am in shock of how ignorant that person was. Needless to say, I tossed that “advice” out the window.
~The best: My dad told me to do something that nobody else does. This advice doesn’t necessarily apply to everything in my life, but it does to my unique talent: I can ride a unicycle! I learned how after he told me that, and I’m quite proud. Now, I’m working on pursuing more different ideas and finding my own unique style.
