Happy New Year

Happy New Year

Hello, my lovelies. I can’t quite believe we have made it to 2018, 2017 seemed to pass in a blur and a lot of things happened;

  • I graduated my teacher training and got my first job!
  • I got a new puppy!
  • I went to Amsterdam
  • I went to Disneyland Paris
  • I celebrated being engaged for a year…
  • I started counting down a year to my wedding!
  • My partner and I bought our first house!
  • I started Wishful Luxury!!

Overall it was an absolutely great year but I can already feel that this year is going to top it! There is a lot to look forward to:

  • MY WEDDING!!!
  • My hen party
  • The honeymoon
  • Doing Wedding thing with my bridesmaids
  • Moving into our new home

I normally don’t set new years resolutions as I almost always break them, however, this year I am a lot more positive about successfully keeping up with them for this coming year. I have kept them broad and short to hopefully maximise the potential for me gaining something from this.

1. Maximise my own potential

I have never been one for working out at the gym regularly or maintaining a healthy lifestyle but with my wedding coming up I am determined more than EVER to maintain a fitness regime and healthy lifestyle. I am going to do 2 classes a week at my local gym as well as work out at home. I am also going to plan my meals in advance and prep them to save time once I get in from work to deter me from ordering takeout.

I am also going to take my professional development more seriously. I shall be completing the online courses that I signed up for over half term which include increasing my coding knowledge as well as Games Design which will benefit my students as well as myself.

2. SAVE SAVE SAVE

I may well love living a luxury life and being able to buy gorgeous things (mainly for my dogs) but I need to wake up and start saving money. Buying the house has left us pretty much broke and with bills adding up I need to make sure that we are being frugal as possible, this also links to the above resolution.

3. Lastly… enjoy being in love.

The last few years I have felt like such an adult and so focused on my career path, getting a house, getting engaged and having my dogs that I’ve forgotten what it’s like to just be happy, carefree and in love. I want to make sure that the next 7 months and the rest of our lives that A and I make the most of our time together, enjoy the simple, sweet moments, the stolen kisses and snuggled nights in and just enjoy being in each others company as much as possible!

Do you have any new years resolutions? If so I would love to hear about them in the comments below!

p.s it’s exactly 7 months until I become a MRS!!! EEEEEK
